Privacy Policy

Cocodea is a home screen of useful websites, plus Code your ideas, which builds small apps with AI. You can browse without an account. We only keep what we need to run the site, we never sell your information, and you can delete your account at any time.
Browsing without an account
Your Home Screen layout, theme, country and saved profiles are stored only on your device (in your browser's local storage). They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.
To show app icons and news, your browser loads icons from Google's icon service and pictures from the news source. Those services may see your IP address, as with any website.
When you sign in with Google or Facebook
Signing in is only needed for Code your ideas. We receive and keep:
- Your name and profile photo link
- An account ID from Google or Facebook, so we recognise you next time
- The username you choose for your page (for example, cocodea.com/yourname)
We do not receive your password, and we don't ask for your email address, contacts or friends list. We never post anything to your Google or Facebook account.
Apps you build
- We save the apps you build and the messages you typed to make them, so you can come back to them.
- Your apps are private until you tap Publish. Published apps, your name, photo and username appear on your public page.
- To build an app, what you type is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI. Anthropic processes it to write the app; under its business terms, it doesn't use this to train its AI. Please don't type private information such as passwords, ID numbers or bank details.
- We count how many apps each account builds per day, to keep the daily limit fair.
Cookies
We use one cookie to keep you signed in (for up to 90 days) and one short-lived cookie during sign-in to protect it from tampering. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on Cocodea.
Who can see your information
- Everyone: only what you publish, along with your name, photo and username.
- Our service providers: our web host stores the site and its data, and Anthropic processes build requests. They use it only to provide their service.
- The law: we would share information only if required by Philippine law.
Deleting your data
You're in control:
- Delete an app: open Code your ideas, tap your photo, then the trash button next to the app.
- Delete your account: open Code your ideas, tap your photo, then Delete account. This removes your account, your username and all your apps right away.
- Or email cocodea.support@gmail.com from any address with your Cocodea username, and we'll delete it within 30 days.
You can also remove Cocodea's access in your Google account (Security › Third-party connections) or in Facebook (Settings › Apps and websites).
Keeping it safe
The site is served over a secure HTTPS connection. Apps people build run sealed off from Cocodea, so they can't see your account or other people's information.
Children
Signing in to Code your ideas is for people 13 and older. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, you can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email us and we'll reply within 15 days.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll show a notice on Cocodea.
